How to Make the Hot and Spicy

  • Place a finely-chopped chili pepper into a milk pitcher
  • Pour in 10 ml of sugar syrup and 100 ml of still water
  • Stir while heating and bring to the boil
  • Let it cool and repeat the process 2-3 times
  • Pour 15 ml of lemon juice, 5 ml of ginger root juice, 10 ml of honey syrup and 40 ml of cognac into the milk pitcher
  • Add 2 cloves and stir while heating but do not bring to the boil
  • Pour through a sieve into an Irish coffee glass
  • Garnish with a slice of ginger root pierced with a chili pepper
