Homemade vanilla whiskey

Dave Mitton, recipe sufficient for 750 ml: Cut the vanilla pod in half lengthwise and scrape out the seeds with the flat side of the knife. Add to a bottle of Canadian whiskey. Cover tightly, shake well and leave to infuse for a day.
