    Homemade tobacco syrup

Dave Mitton, recipe sufficient for 375 ml: Pour 375 ml of the aged rum in a saucepan and add 200 grams of raw sugar. Put on medium heat and bring to a boil. Stir until sugar is dissolved (if alcohol catches fire, cover saucepan with the lid to put out the flame) and then simmer for 10-20 minutes. Remove from heat and strain through a sieve, filled with 50 g of pipe tobacco, into another saucepan. Repeat this procedure several times until the syrup absorbs the tobacco flavor; make sure that tobacco doesn’t get into the syrup. Cool, pour into a bottle and store in the refrigerator for no longer than a month.
