How to Make the Pirate
- Fill a highball glass to the top with ice cubes
- Place a slice of ginger root into a shaker and muddle
- Pour in 15 ml of lemon juice, 10 ml of almond syrup, 20 ml of maraschino liqueur, 20 ml of dry orange liqueur and 40 ml of spiced rum
- Add 5 dashes of angostura bitters
- Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake
- Fine strain into the highball glass
- Top up with sprite and stir gently
- Garnish with a maraschino cherry, a slice of ginger and lime wedges
