French Mulled Wine

Cocktail recipe French mulled wine

• Place a chopped apple wedge and a large strawberry into a milk pitcher
• Add 2 stripes of orange zest, a star anise, a clove and a cinnamon stick
• Pour in 50 ml of apple juice, 50 ml of honey syrup, 50 ml of tawny port and 200 ml of dry red wine
• Stir while heating, but do not bring to the boil
• Pour into a teapot
• Serve on a base with a candle to prevent the cocktail from cooling, with a star anise to enhance the fragrance
