Cocktail recipe Cardinal mulled wine
- Place a chopped apple wedge and 8 bar spoons of blackcurrant jam into a milk pitcher
- Add two stripes of orange zest and a star anise, a cinnamon stick and a clove
- Pour in 50 ml of apple juice, 200 ml of dry red wine and 20 ml of cognac
- Stir while heating, but do not bring to the boil
- Pour into a teapot
- Serve on a base with a candle to prevent the cocktail from cooling
